Meet April, a loving Mom who devotes a large portion of her time to advocating for the safety of her children. She grew up in Wilmette and is a clerk for an Appellate Court Justice in Chicago. While living there she met her husband, a Libertyville native. He also works in the city for one of our beloved sports teams – the Chicago Cubs! They chose to raise their two daughters in his hometown of Libertyville. We are lucky to have this family who is making a big impact on the safety of our children with the Be Smart campaign. When Suzanne Slade moved to Libertyville in 1996 with her husband and two small children, she dreamed of writing children’s books. Although her journey to become a published author was long (eight straight years of rejection letters), generous writers in the community eventually helped her realize her dream.

I’m so proud to introduce you to this brand new Mom! Jade grew up in Libertyville, resides in Libertyville and her family business with her sister is also in Libertyville! Her baby boy is a mere 6 weeks old and such a cute, loved guy. Community is everything to Jade who is a pediatric and pregnancy focused chiropractor at North Shore Pro-Active Health. You’ll find her around town at community events, on the board of directors for Twice as Nice Mother & Child and volunteering for Girls on the Run. In her interview she shares her helpful advice, fun facts about herself and what’s next for her!
