The Red Rose Children’s Choir of Lake County, Illinois is a nonprofit organization serving families in Lake County and northern Cook County. The choir is dedicated to meeting the needs of children who love to sing.

This auditioned, tuition-based choir serves students with differing religious, racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Through the pursuit of excellence and common sense of purpose, singers find a sense of self-esteem and belonging as they share their gifts with the community.

The choir educates and inspires students to appreciate fine choral music, encouraging young singers to strive to communicate expressively through artistic performance. Since its founding in 1997, Red Rose has worked to foster a community of music. Our choirs have performed at local community events, gone on multinational tours, and commissioned music from some of the area’s most esteemed composers.

Our singers experience this community through the rich traditions developed over our time together. From the start of our year at Camp Duncan, to the special activities and songs that enrich each rehearsal, our students make friends and share experiences that will last far beyond their time with us.

The Red Rose Children’s Choir consists of 6 separate choirs based on the singer’s grade school level. Now accepting auditions for the Fall semester (through October 1). Auditions for the Spring semester will take place in January. Visit our website to request an audition.

Footprints Tap Ensemble a NFP 501c(3), our youth performance tap company celebrating its 29th year. Dancers participate in all aspects of dance show production including choreography, teaching, and performance. Footprints hosts the annual “Tap Jam” each November.

Forum Dance Theatre, a NFP 501(c)(3) celebrating its 26th season, is our pre-professional youth contemporary dance company. An exceptional program offering three companies lead by an incredible artistic staff. Forum produces the annual “Dance Forum” in February. Forum performs at various venues throughout the Chicago area, nationally and internationally.

Forum Starz in its 12th season is for dancers aged 6-13yrs, that like to perform throughout our community. Their sparkling personalities, adorable jazzy routines, and glittery costumes bring smiles to a variety of audiences.

Forum Squad in its 8th season offers four Hip Hop levels for ages 8-18, They have multiple performances within the Chicago area and participate in the “Monsters” Hip Hop Convention/Competition. The Artistic Director develops fun, hard hitting, and interesting choreography, and provides a team building environment.
