Katie D- I love the Libertyville Farmers Market. Club Pilates participated several times over the summer this year and enjoyed seeing all the residents and local businesses!

We help with food drives for our local Food Pantries, partner with Animal rescues to collect donations and with Youth Service Organizations to help collect gifts, diapers and backpacks for DCFS children. We also have pop ups for local businesses trying to help them and have fun events in the studios.

Katie D.- My coworkers and members! They are the best!
We partner with many companies and organizations to be part of our community. How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
What is your favorite thing about the Libertyville Area Moms Network?
Katie W.- I love to help people. The more we all work together, the stronger our community becomes
Please share two fun facts about yourself.
Katie W.- I love animals and we have a bunch of them- 2 dogs, 1 bunny, 3 Guinea Pigs, 2 horses, 1 pony and 1 fish.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another Mom?
Katie W.- It’s ok to say you need time for you. As a mom, it’s beyond health to say to your kiddos that you need to go do a class or go to the gym. You are a role model and they look up to you. I’m a better mom when i take this time for me.
Are you involved in any volunteering or philanthropy? Do you have a favorite local non-profit or charity?
In an effort to keep it real, and not just show the sunny side, can you share with us a past or present struggle in your personal or professional life? Please also share how you overcame it or cope with it (or plan to)? We love gaining new tools for our mental wellness toolbox.
Katie W.- I have two daughters and they could not be more different. One is a straight A student who has a photographic memory. Always works hard at school. My other daughter has struggled with her health and has a specific Learning Disability, ADHD and Dyslexia. She works very hard but it’s never easy. She has had an open IEP since she was 3 years old. We have supported them both and been their biggest cheerleaders. Now both out of High School and at DePaul University and with academic scholarships. Every kiddo is different, just figure out what motivates them and always be there for them and their highs and lows
