Where are you from and how long have you lived in town? What brought you to the area?
I grew up in St. Charles, Illinois. It wasn’t as big when my family first moved there but has grown so much. It’s a beautiful community and a great place to raise a family. My husband, Mark grew up here in Libertyville and when we both started working at Abbott we moved up this way and then decided to move back to his old stomping grounds when Max, my son was a few years old. I love this community and can’t wait for my son to follow in his Dad’s footsteps and attend Oak Grove and Libertyville High School!

I have one beautiful and amazing son, Maxwell. He just turned 5 and will be heading off to Kindergarten at Oak Gove in the fall.
What are your favorite things to do in the area with and without your kids? Family friendly restaurant? Date night?
There is so much to do here and I am a very social person so always trying new things. My family and I love all of the amazing restaurants, community events and activities that take place. My son’s favorite restaurant is Chili U, so as a family we go there often and both Mark and Max love TACOS…so if we aren’t at Chili U, you will find us at Milwalky Taco. My husband and I love the Tavern and have celebrated many milestones and holidays there. We love the atmosphere there! A place I love to take Max is “Artist at Heart”, we have so much fun there and I get to see his creative side. I love to support the local business’s here as much as I can. We can’t forget the summer fun at the Farmers Market and Lake Minear. This community has brought so much fun and joy to me and my family!
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor or in the corporate world? Please share!
In addition to being a full-time stay at home mom I have been blessed to find some balance in the fitness and wellness industry. Last year I decided to become certified in Group Fitness. I currently teach Battle and Boot Camp classes at Centre Club in Gurnee and in Libertyville. I love to motivate and inspire others and help them reach their fitness goals. My passion for health and wellness also brought me to become an Ambassador for Plexus. A few friends introduced me to Plexus, which is a company that specializes in products that improve your health from the inside out. I initially only planned on just trying a few of the supplements for myself. Once I saw how they helped me I wanted to be able to help others with their health and wellness concerns and issues. I love being a stay at home mom and am truly blessed that I can do that and find some balance in an industry I love.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I absolutely love this community! When we moved here a little over 2 years ago I branched out and joined different groups and attended local events and what I found was everyone was so welcoming and friendly! Since then I have met so many amazing families and people and have made some wonderful friends that have been super supportive in many ways. Libertyville is a wonderful community to raise and family and feel so blessed to be a part!
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Some know this about me…but I went through a Goth phase in High School! Yes, me! We all are on a journey and finding who we are!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another Mom?
I have been given wonderful advise from so many Mom’s and Mommy Friends. I think they best piece of advice that sits with me daily is to not worry about what others think and you do what’s best for you and Max!
