Meet A Mom: Jen
I’m so excited to introduce you to one of my closest friends! Jen and I were co-workers almost 20 years ago right out of college at JPMorgan Chase and she’s been one of my best friends ever since. They live in Lincoln Park but come to visit us here often and enjoy going to Mickey Finn’s, Lifetime Fitness and Great Wolf Lodge. Their favorite spots in the city are Lincoln Park Zoo, Alfred Caldwell Lily Pools, Chicago Park District, Ricardo’s, Summer House and Green Tea Sushi. When I met Jen decades ago her boyfriend was moving here to live near her and start a business. They flipped one condo, had an amazing destination wedding in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica that I attended, and the rest is history! Years later and her husband Mike is a builder and real estate developer in Chicago with an event space and they recently built a luxury Villa in – you guessed it – Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica! I’m grateful to know Jenifer who is a supportive, local Mom and small business owner! Here is her introduction to the LAM Community – Looking back to a year ago, I never would have expected that a little chance I took would grow in to such an amazing blessing for our family and a source of joy for so many! I am just a mom that took a leap of faith on a fun little business idea and now have a full heart and a full schedule as the proud owner of Card My Yard – Libertyville, which has really flourished through these uncertain times. I get to do something I love, I have the privilege of growing a small business out of my garage and am blessed with a loving family, including 3 amazing children who are so fun to watch grow and find their own paths! I constantly wish I had a few more hours in each day, but am thankful that I get my chance to “Do It All”.

Likely, you already know her, her husband and three kids since they’ve been in youth sports over the years, plus she is an instructor at Heather’s Gym which is her happy place and where she found her village. She recently joined the Executive Board for the Libertyville Boys Club and her daughter just started dancing at Talent Forum.
