Having your kids go to school can cause a roller coaster of emotions from pure joy to absolute fear.  At this point in the school year you have most likely experienced it all and might have concerns about your child’s progress.  Perhaps you just can’t pinpoint why they are struggling; it might seem like something intangible is getting in the way of their academic and/or social success at school.  Here’s where we can help! A neuropsychological evaluation can identify the support your child may need and give you, the parent, the answers you have been searching for.

OUR APPROACH: FOCUSING ON THE CHILD AND PARENT

At Neuro Educational Specialists (NES), we work with children and their families to provide comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations.  We believe in utilizing evidence-based neuropsychological and educational approaches to assessment and intervention. Our evaluation tools allow us to focus on identifying strengths and opportunities to maximize your child’s potential at home and at school.

OUR GOAL: EMPOWERING ALL LEARNERS

The thorough evaluation helps us to identify supports and services that address various learning styles and social-emotional needs.  We tailor unique intervention plans to foster effective learning and behavior for both home and school. At NES, we believe the best way to empower all learners is to utilize brain-behavior principles to help each student, their parents, and their educators understand the child’s unique learning profile.  Once we identify your child’s learning profile, we use our experience to unlock, illuminate and provide access to additional supports and services in the community to help your child succeed.

OUR SERVICES: WHO WE WORK WITH

Our services include, but are not limited to working with children and adolescents with: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Executive Functioning challenges, Neuro-developmental disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression.  In addition, at NES, we offer advocacy and consultative services to help families access and understand the complex array of supports and services available to them, such as navigating the Special Education process.

OUR PURPOSE: PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES AND SCHOOLS

In today’s ultra-competitive and ever-evolving educational landscape, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the complex web of supports and services available. At NES, we strive to “bridge the gap” between the disciplines of neuropsychology and education, and between your family and the appropriate resources to maximize your child’s potential – both at school and at home. Our purpose is to provide clear and comprehensive assessment to address your child’s academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning. We include individualized recommendations to help maximize the success for you and your child.
