Whether you are trying to escape the crazy Chicago weather, let your kids run and jump out some leftover energy (while staying in a safe environment), or planning your tots next birthday party that is guaranteed to please kids of all ages, Yu Kids Island at Hawthorn Mall is your golden ticket.
Highlights:
Fun & safe indoor play area: All kids 48 inches and under are allowed to play at Yu Kids Island. The equipment is padded and there are multiple play zones for kids of all ages. Not to mention the play space is bright and inviting, making it fun for kids and adults alike.
Space for older kids and younger kids: All too often play places do not have designated areas for younger kids to play. Yu Kids Island is fantastic for this. They have a separate area for kids who are younger with balls and balloons as well as a new area with foam building blocks. The bigger children can play on the playground, merry-go-round, bounce house and slides.
Clean: This place is pristine! Every time we are there, someone is wiping down the play areas, cleaning the counter tops, and making sure kids are wearing socks while playing.
A place for adults: At the new Yu Kids Island in Hawthorn Mall, there is a space designated for moms, dads, and all caregivers. The kids are safe in the play space, while the adults are able to sit along the perimeter at a counter with comfortable stools and free wi-fi! You can allow your brain and body to relax while knowing your kids are safe and happy playing.
Birthday Parties: The new and updated space at Hawthorn Mall allows for two birthday parties at a time. The rooms are clean and well maintained. You can sit back and relax while knowing the staff will be helping you every step of the way with your little one’s fiesta.

Mom Tip from Hailey:
We have a marble jar in our house that we use as a reward system. When my children are doing something kind, making a good decision, helping others out, etc, we put marbles in their jar. On the other hand when they have made a questionable decision, are not listening, or hurting someone’s feelings, we take marbles out of the jar. One the jar is full, they get to pick a fun activity to do. More often than not, they choose to go to Yu Kids Island, their favorite play place!
