Please introduce yourself. Where are you from originally? What city do you live in now? What brought you here?
Hello! Our names are Assem and Anna. We are friends, soulmates, and partners. Originally, we are from Kazakhstan, we moved to the United States about 10 years ago. Currently we live in Wheeling and Buffalo Grove.
You’re both moms. Tell us about your kids.
I have a Son David ( 5 y.o) and Assem has 2 beautiful daughters Adele ( 6 year old) and Amaya ( 1 year old).
Please introduce Sound View Diagnostic! How long have you had this company and what made you go into this line of work? What is your role here?
We opened Sound View almost two years ago. At the time when we had this idea to open our own ultrasound clinic, Assem already had 3 years of experience in this field, and I was in school learning the ultrasound. Ultrasound and medicine overall has always been around us in our lives, our moms are nurses with over than 30 years of experience and my husband is an ultrasound technician with eight years experience himself.
My job is to take care of all of the paperwork of our patients and Sound View while Sam is taking care of the patients themselves.
What ultrasound services do you offer?
At Sound View we offer:
- Thyroid Ultrasound
- Breast Ultrasound
- Abdominal Ultrasound (liver, kidneys, pancreas, spleen, gallbladder , aorta, ivc )
- Male and Female pelvic
- Heart Ultrasound
- Vascular ultrasound
- Scrotum (testicular) ultrasound
- Pregnancy ultrasound
- 3d/4d ultrasound
Do you get to read off the results or do you have to send them to the patient’s doctor?
The Ultrasound Technician does not read the images, we only take all the necessary measurements and send them to the DR radiologist who reads them, does the official report that we send to the referring DR.
Describe something you’re most proud of in your profession.
We are proud that we can help people to have a smooth and stressless experience with ultrasound. When our clients come to our place, they can expect a clean and cozy atmosphere, friendly environment, and professional, experienced specialists.
How does Sound View go above and beyond to make patients comfortable?
Why Sound View instead of going to the local hospital for these services?
The number one advantage is waiting time. You don’t need to wait weeks or even months before your appointment, ultrasound can be done literally within a couple days. Prices for self-paying patients are much lower, than in the hospitals. And from what the patients said to us, the atmosphere is much cozier which gives less stress during the exam.
What insurance companies does Sound View take?
What’s on the horizon for Sound View?
Right now we are planning to add more services, such as lab test (blood and urine).
