In this week’s Meet a Mom, we are introducing you to Lauren LoMonaco of LoMonaco Law.
Hello! Please introduce yourself.
Hi! I’m Lauren LoMonaco. I’m a local mom and proud owner of LoMonaco Law. I was born and raised in Lake Forest, Illinois and I currently live in the Gregg’s Landing neighborhood of Vernon Hills with my family.

Where are you from and how long have you lived in town? What brought you to the area?
I moved to Vernon Hills with my husband in 2019 to be closer to my family and to start our own family.
Do you have children?
I have a beautful three year old daughter named Charlotte. Charlotte is a spunky and carefree toddler who loves playing with our two dogs, chasing lady bugs in the backyard, and getting dirty!

What are your favorite things to do in the area with and without your kids? Family friendly restaurant? Date night?
I LOVE all the new developments that have come to Vernon hills over the last few years. I feel so spoiled to live so close to a Nordstrom Rack. On most Friday nights, you will find me walking around Mellody Farm with the family, grabbing a drinks or dinner and shopping.
Please share your TOP 5 favorite local businesses?
My top five local businesses are:
1. Nordstrom Rack
2. Pizzeria DeVille
3. Snickelfritz Toys
4. 847 Running Company
5. Duck Donuts
Which podcasts and/or TED Talks inspire you the most?
Conan O’Brien needs a friend is my favorite podcast.
What are your favorite places to travel near and far and why?
For quick trips we love traveling to the Wisconsin Dells! Our daughter loves waterparks. When traveling, our latest trip took us to the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean.

What do you do in your position?
I am the managing attorney and I handle real estate, estate planning and probate, and small business law.
Why do you love your job?
I love getting to meet with actual people and helping them solve their legal concerns. Whether its helping a first time home buyer with a real estate closing, drafting a trust for a family with special needs, or representing one of our local business owners, I love getting to help our community grow.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I started my practice in Libertyville in 2012 and I could not have grown to what we are today without the support of the community and my clients. We are a 100% referal based law firm so we rely on our community to spread the word about our practice. We are proud that our number one referal source is previous clients as it is a testament to the quality of work that we provide.
What is your favorite thing about the Libertyville Area Moms Network?
I love the Libertyville Area Moms Network for all things local. I’ve used it to find recommendations for Charlotte’s daycare, restaurants, contractors, and activities for my kid!
Please share two fun facts about yourself.
1. I am obsessed with Peloton strength training and barre classes! Friend me on the app: llomona2!
2. I love coffee, diet coke, and wine. I should probably drink more water.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
Stop comparing yourself to other moms. Especially the ones on social media because they are fake! You are doing a great job and you don’t need to compete with other moms.
Do you have a favorite local non-profit or charity?
Can you share with us a past or present struggle in your personal or professional life?
