Where are you from and how long have you lived in town? What brought you to the area?

Hi, I’m Hannah! I was born and raised in Libertyville. My family has been in Libertyville for almost 60 years! My parents were born and raised here, and both of my grandmas still live town.

My husband Andrew and I met at in 3rd grade at Butterfield School, and we were high school sweethearts! We bought our first home in Libertyville in 2015…and we don’t plan on ever leaving!

Do you have child(ren)? Age(s)

We have a 16 month old son, Reilly.

What are your favorite things to do in the area with and without your kids? Family friendly restaurant? Date night?

Besides spending time with our family and friends, we love taking walks through town, running at Old School Forest Preserve, and in the summer, we love the Farmers Market and spending days at Lake Minear Beach! On the weekends, we love Townee Square for breakfast or grabbing a coffee at Hansa.

My husband and I love The Green Room for dinner, and having drinks at the Tavern for date night!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

Libertyville, is more than just a hometown to me. It has shaped into the person, wife, and mother, that I am today. I take pride in coming from Libertyville, as it is place that holds a great sense of family, fun and community, all things I really value. It is also a very sentimental place for me, given my family history. It’s cool to think that one day my son walk the halls of LHS just like his parents and grandparents did!

It is rare to find a true small-town feel with great schools, parks, restaurants and people! I think anyone who lives here is truly lucky. I can’t wait for my children to make their own memories in Libertyville just like my grandparents, parents and my husband and I did!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another Mom?

Even before my son was born other moms or parents would say, “enjoy every moment, it goes by fast.” It couldn’t be more true. Once you have kids time goes by faster than ever. I really try my best to take in every moment, even the hard ones, because I know one day I will really miss them

What are some of your favorite memories of Libertyville?

Long Summer days at Lake Minear, Libertyville Days Parade, Tree Lighting in Cook Park, sports and dances at LHS!

What is next for you?

We hope to continue growing our family and create more wonderful memories in Libertyville!
