At Taste Buds Kitchen, they’re all about having fun while giving back – and EVERYONE in the community can help get involved! Their junior chefs are taking a new approach to the tried-and-true bake sale by whipping up batches of fun and raising money for a great cause this summer. As part of the summer cooking camps, local kids (ages 4-13) from Lake Forest, Highland Park, Deerfield, Northbrook, Lincolnshire, Buffalo Grove and far beyond create sweet treats every Thursday which in exchange for donations for our charity partner, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer (CFKC). CFKC is committed to raising funds for research to develop new and improved treatments for childhood cancer.
This is not their first rodeo…. Last summer Taste Buds Kitchen raised nearly $3,000 for a cause and this year they aim to double that number!
- EVERYONE is invited to stop by our weekly bake “sales” on Thursdays (June 13, 2019 through August 22, 2019) from 11:30am-12:00pm and 3:30-4:00pm to sample the kids’ amazing creations, high-five them for their philanthropic efforts and help us raise money for pediatric cancer research.
