2022: Luckily, businesses and park districts are back to hosting Mom/Son and Daddy/Daughter dances! It is still fun to have one at home or simply order a heart shaped pizza or festive treats and decor while supporting local businesses. We hope you enjoy our family’s experience last Valentine’s Day!
2021: Since last March, my daughter has been asking to go to the Daddy Daughter Dance again. Rather than missing it two years in a row, we’ve been wanting to re-create it at home. After seeing my friend Beth Kenar’s Facebook post about participating in the Wauconda Park District’s “Sweetheart Dance in a Box” I was feeling motivated to make it happen! The box contained info to create your own Sweetheart Dance! She shared tips with me how we can replicate this at home and support local businesses at the same time! With Valentine’s Day and my birthday this weekend I think we will do this! We can combine the Daddy Daughter Dance and Mother Son Dance in one at our home rather since they aren’t offered this year!
