Meet A Mom
I’m thrilled to introduce you to Kim! You may know her from around town since she’s always outdoors with her family and involved in local Mom groups. She’s most active with a Mom group that shaped her into the wonderful mother she is today, The Advocate Condell Look What We Can Do group (found on our Groups & Clubs Resource page). Fun Fact: I was a part of this group too when both of my kids were born. It is a wonderful resource for both Mom and baby. She also loves Libertyville Co-op and their many helpful resources (check our Calendar for one this week on Pediatric Sleep). I’m happy to share with you Kristy’s story! Kristy is a wife and mother who has a strong love for cooking instilled in her by her Mom. They spent many hours together in the kitchen while Kristy was growing up in their home in Libertyville. This love of food and cooking is what inspired her to create a page loved by many in town, the Libertyville Recipe Swap. Started during the pandemic, it helped to keep Kristy and everyone connected and focused on something positive and fun! This Mom has a huge heart and I love her advice that in the storms of life remember there will eventually be the Sun. Over the Summer, our neighborhood had our first Food Truck Night (socially-distanced style, of course!) courtesy of Mamma Mia Pizza! It suits her well seeing that she loves history herself and it’s infused in her business Home by Dani: Breathing New Life Into Old Things. Danielle curates items and shares them on her Etsy shop. She helps you incorporate these unique discoveries into your home, office or business. She describes herself as an old soul and after you read her interview you’ll feel like she is an old friend! She has a way with words and I know you’ll enjoy reading about her family, business, and how her daughter taught her whole family about showing kindness and compassion. This family of five loves to spend time together in the area and has so many local favorites like Corked, Covered Bridge Creamery, Signature Popcorn, Enzo & Lucia’s, Chatterbox, Buffalo Creek Brewery, Long Grove Coffee Co., Ma & Pa’s Candy and Royal Melbourne.
