Announcing Mundelein Park & Recreation’s New Children’s Book: “My New Mask”
I have always turned to book to help me teach tough topics to my children. Thankfully, Christa Lawrence, Marketing Manager at the Mundelein Park & Recreation District wrote and illustrated “My New Mask” to help kids tackle this topic and adapt to the changes caused by the pandemic. Speaking of adapting, like all businesses, the Mundelein Park & Recreation District has needed to pivot to help the community and fundraise. Historically done through events which had to be cancelled, Christa thought to donate proceeds to the Mundelein Parks Foundation. Christa is an asset to MPRD and the community. She combined her dream to create a children’s book into a reality that at the same time helps children and the foundation!

Marianne’s Chicago connection is her publisher for more than a decade, Sourcebooks, Inc. in Naperville who distributes her books all over the world.
